Organization Profile: Pro Mujer Peru operates out of Puno, with 7 branches and 39 points of service in the region. The social objective of the organization is to help women in poverty to perform a more active and effective role in their development and their children through holistic programs of micro-loans, training, health services, and community development.  Community banks, which are peer groups of 20 to 30 women micro-entrepreneurs and not physical banks, are the heart of the organization. Pro Mujer Peru is an expansion of Pro Mujer International.

Lending Portfolio: Pro Mujer Peru has an average loan size between $200 and $300 with a total lending portfolio of $32,590,000.  Of the total lending portfolio, commerce accounts for 82%, production accounts for 9%, services account for 8%, and agriculture accounts for 1%.
