Microfinance Partner Agencies
In 1992, WCCN began channeling money from investors to alternative credit programs in Nicaragua. This endeavor became formalized as the Nicaraguan Credit Alternatives Fund (NICA Fund).
Today the Fund is known as the Capital for Communities Fund and has over $9.2 million in loans outstanding to our partner agencies.
Through our partner agencies over 18,000 low-income borrowers a year are accessing microcredit from the Capital for Communities Fund . The borrowers have a repayment rate of more than 95%, and our partner agencies have a 100% repayment rate on loans they have received from the Capital for Communities Fund.
WCCN's partner agencies are Latin American microfinance institutions and cooperatives that specialize in offering microcredit and other financial services. Following is a listing of WCCN's microfinance partner agencies. To learn more about each agency, simply click on its name.
